Updated November 17, 2020.
Since February, Kohler Industries has been closely monitoring the global spread of COVID-19, also known as coronavirus. The effects of this pandemic have rapidly changed the landscape of the food processing industry, as demand for grocery staples shifts. Kohler is committed to meeting these challenges and supporting our customers in food manufacturing, while ensuring the health and safety of our team. Here’s what we’re doing to adapt and overcome this international pandemic.
For Our Customers
We take immense pride in our responsibility to help feed the world. Kohler has been granted “essential” status as a critical manufacturer supporting food and agriculture, and as such, we intend to keep our doors open as long as possible. We are determined to keep our operations moving forward to meet our clients needs. At this time, we have not encountered any disruptions with our supply chain and intend to deliver orders on time, as planned.
We continue to house the largest inventory of used food processing and packaging equipment in the country, ready to ship to meet tight deadlines. As well as supplying “quick-ship” used food processing equipment, we’re able to provide customers with flexible payment plans and rental options.
While many manufacturers are needing to increase cash flow or free up valuable storage space, selling with Kohler is a great option as well. We offer a variety of buying options including consignment, outright purchasing, and trade-ins on select machines.
During this time of social distancing, Kohler is capable and accustomed to managing remote transactions with our clients. We can meet with our customers through phone and video conferencing apps, reducing the need for in-person gatherings, while keeping you connected every step of the way through our manufacturing process.
For Our Team
At Kohler Industries, our team’s safety and well-being always comes first. We are following the current recommendations of the CDC to promote a healthy workplace, including:
- Wearing masks on premises
- Encouraging the use of proper hand washing hygiene
- Frequently cleaning all touched surfaces, such as work stations, tables, and doorknobs
- Increasing distance between team members when possible
- Requiring sick employees to stay home to prevent illness spread
As the situation evolves, Kohler will continue to keep our team and customers updated when/if any changes in production need to be made. Though we don’t know how long this pandemic will last, we are dedicated to supporting our community and the food processing industry at large. Please feel free to reach out if there is anything we can do to assist your facility.
